Sublimation is a colour process that does not print white, so on dark t-shirts, colours will be weak or not visible. The percentage of polyester in the t-shirt also plays a large role. The higher the percentage of polyester, the more vibrant the colours will be. At t-shirts with only 50% polyester, only half of the colour will be transferred, and only half of the print will be permanent. To get an idea of the result, we have created a graphic overview with a colour wheel that shows how different colours will work on different t-shirts and polyester percentages.
