Colour Display

The colour chart shows the colour our manufacturer produces the foils in, and is therefore 100% accurate. 
There may be a discrepancy where your screen displays the colour. Below is a technical explanation of why colours may appear differently from screen to screen.

 

If you see the same image on two computer screens, you may have noticed that one screen displays the colour slightly differently than the other. For example, take the coffee cup on the image below. On the left screen, it may appear blue-green, but on the right, it's more towards a light green.

So, why does this happen? 

1) Pixels – small dots in digital image processing that combine to form an image
2) RGB colour – red, green and blue pixels that combine to produce a range of new colours
3) Bit depth – the number of bits used to represent the colour on a single pixel; the higher the bit depth, the more RGB pixels on the screen and the more precise the colour
4) Screen resolution – the number of different pixels in each dimension that can be displayed

Pixels are arranged in a pattern of red, blue or green depending on the bit depth, also known as how many can fit on the screen. If one screen has a higher bit depth than the other, it will affect the resolution, which in turn affects how visual content, namely colour, appears on the screen.

 

Why does the colour on the same image appear different when viewed on a tablet and mobile device?

The same image will look different on a tablet and mobile device because the resolution is different on both devices. The visual dimensions of the display vary depending on the screen size.

For example, the pixel resolution of a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is 1440 x 2960. On a 13-inch MacBook Pro, it is 2800 x 1800. Samsung is much smaller than MacBook, so pixels can only fill so much. This difference will naturally cause an image to appear in a different colour on each screen.
